These complications may develop during the procedure whereas they may develop at early or late post-operative period. It is vital to be well-appointed in case of surgical complications since management of complications is a challenging process for the practitioner. In order to prevent such complications, there is a wide range of factors to be considered including patient history, assessment of systemic condition, medications being used, surgical trauma, practitioner’s experience and professional boundaries. Atraumatic approach without causing damage to the patient should be the major approach to decrease these complications. In this presentation, case series regarding complications of dentoalveolar surgery will be given in association with discussion of decreasing or preventing such complications.
