Erinç Önem

She was born in İzmir, in 1971.
She graduated from School of Dentistry, Ege University in 1994. She started her PhD research in Department of Oral and Maxilofacial Radiology at the same university in 1996. She received her PhD degree in 2002.
She was appointed as “Associate Professor” in May, 2013.
She has published more than 30 articles in national and international journals and her studies have been cited several times.
She is a member of European Academy of Dentomaxillofacial Radiology and Turkish Oral Diagnosis and Maxillofacial Radiology Society. She is still working as an “Associate Professor” in the Department of Oral and Maxilofacial Radiology, Ege University.

Evaluation of Oral Ulcerative Lesions in Immunological Disfunctions

The erosions and ulcers located on oral  mucosa are complaints encountered frequently in our clinical practice which directly affect the life quality of patients. These lesions may be first signs of a disease with high mortality risk or presenting sign of a multisystemic disease. Consequently, the erosions or ulcers of oral cavity are important lesions which need careful and detailed clinical evaluations. This presentation will focus on differential diagnosis and treatment approaches of oral ulcers caused by systemic autoimmune and inflammatory diseases.
